PERSONAL.
Mrs. R. Allender, who has been on holiday in Foxton, has returned to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Redman, of Napier, were visitors to Foxton over •the week-end. The Mayor (Mr. M. E. Perreau) and Town Clerk (Mr. Wlm. Trueman) leave for Wanganui to-mor-row to attend the Municipal C'on- , f erenee. Miss D. Lamb, who has been spending a holiday in Foxton h'as left for AudMandj where she will remain for several weeks prior to returning to Dunedin. The Mayor of Wellington, accompanied by other city delegates, made a brief stop to-day in Foxton while en route to the Municipal Conference which opens at Wanganui tomorrow. The party dined at Whyte’s Hotel. Mr. R. Hynes, who is now an instructor in Southland for the Agriculture Department in connection with the hemp industry, paid a. brief visit to Foxton yesterday en route to Levin, after making an inspection of the fl'ax cultivation work being undertaken at Motuiti.
