DISORDERLY BEHAVIOUR.
At the local Courthouse this morning, before) Messrs J. K. Hornblow and G. Fraser, J’s.P., Edward Charles Boyle was charged being guilty of disorderly behaviour in Main Street on March Ist. Constable OWen stated that accused, who had a prohibition order out against himself, and who had been keeping very steady for some months, came into town and by some means obtained drink and got obnoxious. Shortly after 6 o’clock lie attempted to force his way into the Family Hotel and the licensee, knotwing he was a prohibited man, refused him admission. The licensee sent for the police but before their arrival he had a considerable struggle with him to keep him out. He would be charged with a breach of prohibition order at the next sitting of the local S.M. Court.
Boyle said that he was suffering from pains in the stolmach yesterday and advanced that as his reason for taking liquor. Accused was convicted and fined £l.
