FIREMAN ACCUSED OF THEFT AT FIRES.
ARRESTED ON HOLIDAY. Auckland, Last Night. A nujmber of the Wellington Fire Brigade, James William Stewart, aged 25, Avho arrived Avitli his wife to spend a holiday in Auckland, was charged at the Police Court with the theft of a gold and diamond ring and calmera of a total value of £lO, the property of some person unknoAvn, the police alleging that the property had been stolen by accused from fires' he had attended. Accused Avas remanded on bail to Wellington.
