END'S IN INJURY TO BOTH. Wairoa (H. 8.), Last Night. A shocking accident occurred near the saleyards shortly after five o’clock to-night, when the infant son of Mr. R. Munro, a Public Works employee, wandered on the railway line in front of his home. The mother, seeing a train approaching, rushed out too late to save the child, both being seriously injured. The boy was ran over and his arm severed and the mother was knocked over. They were sent to hospital and the condition of both is critical.
