CIVIL SERVICE “CUTS.”
CABINET TO CONSIDER RESTORATION, The Minister of Railways (Hon. W, B. Taverner) informed a deputation from the Executive Council of the Railway 'Tradesmen’s Association that Cabinet was considering the question of the restoration of the 1922 Civil Service “cats.” Members of the deputation stated later that there appeared jto be every reason to believe that the Government would do something in the direction of restoring to some extent the wages reduction complained of, ,
