BOWLING.
'FINAL OF TRIANGULAR IQONTEST. To-morrow afternoon the final round of the Triangular Contest will be played on Shannon green, when Ota'ki, Levin and Foxton Clubs will send one rink to play three home rinks. The position this season is more interesting than for some seasons past, as the averages for each club are fairly close, and the decision may finally rest in favour of any of 'the contestants. Levin for the past few years have been successful in putting up the winning score, and are still in the lead this year, but Otaki and Foxton are near enough to be well within the striking distance with only one game to play. The averages up to date are: —Levin 21 2-5, Otaki 20 1-5, Foxton 10, 'Shannon 16 1-5. The conditions xvere altered slightly this season to admit Otaki to the contest, since that Club seceded from Wellington Centre to join with Manawatu. Fox ton’s rink to-morrow will consist of Heyes, Walker, Barr and Thomson (s).
On Wednesday, 13th inst., a contest for the Fletcher Shield will be held at Palmerston North, when it is anticipated four rinks will be present from Foxton Club.
