ELSIE WALKER’S DEATH.

MINISTER TO CONSIDER FACTS.

In reply to a question by a “Dominion” representative last night, the Minister of Justice (Hon. T. M. Wilford) stated that after he had read the evidence given at the inquest on the death of Elsie Walker he would determine what action should be taken in connection with the Coroner’s suggestions. Mr. Wilford, who has had twen-ty-five years’ experience in the weighing of evidence, made it clear that neither Coroner’s remarks nor counsels’ speeches were evidence, and that he was awaiting a copy of .the evidence before he came to any conclusion on the facts and made any pronouncement in regard to what action lie might take.
