THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLE,
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 26th instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:—> Hemp. —Manila market still dull and values unchanged. 'Sisal market quieter but little change in price. No. 1, fair .average quality offered £43 5/- to £43 10/-; No. 2, £4l January-Marck shipments. New Zealand market continues quiet. No first hand business reported. By comparison with other sorts nominal; c.i.f. values for January-March shipment are: — High points £36 10/-, fair £34, common £3i; tow second grade £23, third grade £l9.
