A body believed to be that of James JPark, one of the two boys lost in file Alps at Browning’s Pass on January 10, was found yesterday in the Wlilberforce, near_ Lake Coleridge. Searchers are now out trying to locate the other body. EVIDENCE AT INQUEST. Christchurch, Last Night. An inquest was held at Coalgate to-day, by Mr. Lawry, .S.M., into the death of Jamies Park, one of the missing tempers whose body was found in the Wilberforce river. 'The chief witness was Edward Leigh Park, brother of the deceased, who gave a. complete account of the search for deceased and his mate Morpeth. Witness .expressed the opinion that on or about January 10 his brother and Morpeth were swept away and drowned when endeavouring to ford the Wilberforce river. The Coroner gave a verdict of accidental death by drowning in the Wilbenforee river ,on or about January 10. The search for Morpeth’s body will be continued shortly. As soon as shearing is over Mr. Murchison, of Glenthorn station, will organise a party to search all the routes the tempers must have traversed. It is now certain from the signs found that the boys attempted to cross one of the tributaries of the Wlilberforce. Whether one was swept off his feet and carried away and the other lost his life in attempting to save him will never be known. The rivers were in high flood after two days’ rain and were very dangerous.
