INCIPIENT FIRE.

At about 7.30 o’clock last evening a fire was discovered in the residence of Mi 1 . Alex. Ross’, Purcell Street. The house was unoccupied at the time. The brigade arrived promptly hut the fire had been extinguished in the meantime. The outbreak occurred in the ceiling of the sitting room which was badly damaged. The outbreak was probably due to the fusing of the electric light wires.
