PERSONAL.
Mr. and Mrs. P. Smith and family, of Masterton, are at present on holiday at the local seaside. Captain Pickering of the Salvation Army National Headquarters, Wellington, is the guest of Captain and Mrs. Matheson, of Robinson Street. The following honorary appointments for the year were made by the Palmerston North Hospital B'oard on Thursday: —(Surgeons, iDrs. P. T. Putnam, D. S. Wylie, J. Millar, G.‘A. Forrest; surgeon to the children’s ward, Dr. D. :H. Belt; ear, eve, nose and throat specialists Drs. J. S. Munro and Bransgrove: dentist, Mr J. *S. Hornblow; assistant surgeon, Dr. Salmond (Feilding). Captain and Mrs. Matheson, of Rangiora, have been transferred to Foxton to take charge of the local Salvation Army Corp. Captain and Mrs. Matheson arrived in Foxton on Wednesday and have takeil up their residence in Robinson St. Lieutenants Yoeman and Rawcliffe, who for some time have been stationed at Foxton, have been transferred to Brooklyn, Wellington, and have left for the capital city.
