FOXTON LUNCH CLUB.

EXECUTIVE MEETING. An executive meeting of the Foxton Lunch Club was held in the Council Chambers yesterday afternoon, presided over by Mr. M. E. Perreau. Also present were Messrs Wl Trueman, A. E. Scott, Rev. Edmondson, F. A. Mason and the secretary (Mr. I. Corn). Various matters in connection with the club were discussed and it was decided that the meetings tie held on the second Thursday of each month, between the hours of 12 and 1 p.m. The subscription was fixed at 5/per annum, payable .in advance.. It was resolved to limit the membership to 50. A limit of 20 minutes was decided on for addresses. The following syllabus was drawn up for the ensuing six months: — January 10: Speaker, Mr. W. A. Waters, A.M.1.E.E., subject: “Trip across America,” chairman, Mr. M. iE. Perreau. February 14: Speaker, Mr. .J. K. Hornblow, chairman, Mr. W. E. Barber. March 14th: Speaker, Mr. W. Trueman,-chairman, Rev. W. H. Walton. April 11th: Speaker, Mr. F. A. Mason, chairman, Mr. A. E. Scott. May 9th: Speaker, Mr. J. 11. Perrett (Sanson), chairman, Mr. J. Iv. Hornblow. June 13th: Speaker, Rev. Edmondson, chairman, Mr. D. Christie. The above is subject to alteration as some of the speakers have not yet been approached by the executive.
