THE WEATHER

During the month O-f December there were twelve wet days locally, a total of 5.74 inches being recorded. The maximum fall, 1.3 inches was on the 29t'h. A total of 37.11 inches of rain fell locally throughout the year just ended and there were 98 wet days. The wettest m'onth was May, -when 8.06 inches of rain fell, the maximum fall for that •month being 2.16 inches on the 30th inst. The -coldest day during December was on the 13th when the thermometer registered 54 degrees. The warmest day, when 73 degrees were registered, was -on the 28th.
