FIRE AT HASTINGS.

FARMER'S’ CO-OP. STORE DESTROYED. Hastings, January, 2. The premises of the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., Hastings, a;t the corner of Market and Queen. Streets, consisting of large grocery, 'boot and shoe, glass, china and crockery, ironmongery, implement and engineering departments, together with full stocks, .were completely destroyed by fire this morning at seven o’clock. ■Fireman Price received injuries, requiring medical attention. With six leads of water on, the fire was subdued at about 8.30. The destroyed building and the contents were fully covered by insurance, the stocks and contents for £10,500 and the building for £BOO.
