: ROYAL. ■ . “The Branded, Sombrero,” which has been rated here as the best picture ever assigned to Buck Jones, the Fox cowboy actor, is the attraction at the Royal to-night. This ’ yarn came from the pen of Cherry Wilson and was adapted and directed by Lambert Hiillyer, with Leila Hyams in the leading feminine role. It is the unusually strange story of a father who, rustled .cattle'froim neighboring ranches and branded the record of his thefts on his hat. At his death the son inherits the hat and the debts of honour. Buck Jones plays the role of the son with fine feeling. Prices 9d and 1/6. ' Children 3d and 6d. Monte Blue in “One Round Hogan,” a Warner-Master Picture, which' comes to the Royal theatre ,on New Year’s Eve (Monday). “One Round Hogan” is a fight film and incidentally a love story, lovely Leila Hyams supplying the motivation for “One Round Hogan’s” cyclonic performances during several ring scenes, which the directorial genius pf Howard Bretherton have made unbelieveably realistic.
