THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires at noon to-day as follows: The indications are for westerly winds moderate: to strong, and baCking by west t 6 south. Still the weather appears likely, to be cloudy and unsettled. Rain probable, but indications for temporary improvement shortly, and cooler. The barometer has a rising tendency. Tides good.
