NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. On Ist JANUARY. —Usual trains will not run. Special trains will run as follows: — FOR PALMERSTON NORTH.— Foxton dep. 8.10 a.m., 5.5 pan., Himatangi 8.26 a.m., 5.25 p.m. FOR. FOXTON.—'Palmerston N. dep. 10.0 a.m., 7.0 p.m. These trains stop where required. ON 2nd JANUARY.—UsuaI 4.15 p.m. Palmerston-Foxton train will be delayed to leave Palmerston N. 7.30 p.m. MARTON RACES. On Ist and 2nd January, special cheap excursion tickets to Marton, available for return until 3rd January, will be issued at Foxton, Palmerston North, and intermediate stations, only by morning train leaving Foxton. These trains connect with special race trains leaving Palmerston 9.25 a.m. (Ist), 9.30 a.m. (2nd). Return trains leave Marton 5.35 p.m. (Ist), 5.50 p.m. (2nd). lOonne'eting train for Foxton leaves Palmerston North 7.0 p.m. on Ist and 7.30 p.m. on 2nd. For full particulars see booklet obtainable free at all railway stations. Goods sheds will lie closed on Ist and 2nd January.
