The Department of * Agriculture 1 has received the following cable-. grain, dated 22nd instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, Loudon: — Hemp.—Manila market quiet but linn; fail- business has been done. Shippers offering small closing values “J” grade January-March shipment £3B 5/-. Sisal market firm with somewhat more trade inquiry. No. 1 Decem-ber-February shipments in demand at £4O 10/- to £4O 15/-. Sellers £4l; No. 2 less inquiry nominally £3B 10/-. New Zealand, better demand but business restricted as shippers have advanced prices which buyers unwilling to follow. Closing values December-February shipments, high points £36 to £36 10/-; fair £33 to £33 10/-;' common £3O 10/-. Tow No. 2 £22 10/-; No. 3 £l9. '
