BOWLING

SECOND ROUND OF TRIANGULAR SHIELD. The second l’ound of the Triangular Shield was held in Levin yesterday in beautiful weather. Levin placed four teams in the field, and Shannon, Otaki, and Foxton were each represented by one team. Play resulted as follows: — Levin (Brown) 22, Otaki (Smith) 27; Levin (Clements) 17, Shannon (Knowles) 19; Levin (Hawke) 27, Foxton (Nyc) 13. Foxton was represented by the following team: —Woods, Christie, Thomson and Nye (s). Foxton was 10 and Levin 2 on the eighth head when :an adjournment was made for afternoon tea. On resuming play Foxton only managed to score a further three points while Levin put on 25 and won easily. The averages are as follows: Otaki 24, Levin 224, Shannon 17, Foxton 16.
