While wheeling a barrow in the National Mortgage Building at Invercargill yesterday W. S. Hawke, aged about 60„ was heard to call out as if in pain. An employee turned to see what was the matter and found that Hawke had fallen on the floor. A doctor was immediately summoned, but he found that life was extinct (states a Press Association message). The sudden death is believed to have been due to a heart seizure.
