PERSONAL.

Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Barr have returned to FoxtoiT after an extensive visit abroad.

The death took place in Palmerston N. this morning of Miss F. J. W. Hodges, principal of the Palmerston N. Girls’ High School.

The ideath occurred in the Palmerston North Hospital on Tuesday of Mr. Robert McAllister, of Levin, aged 55 years. Deceased was well-known in Levin where he was associated with the Labour movement. The interment etakes place at Levin to-morrow.

The Saturday morning class of the local D.H. School made presentations to their teachers, Messrs Doel and Burdes at the school yesterday morning. The presentations were made by Edward and Arthur Murphy who also conveyed the season’s greetings. The recipients suitably acknowledged the gifts and reciprocated the greetings.
