PERSONAL.
At All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, yesterday afternoon, Miss Lykke (Pat) Smidt, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W- TSmidt, of Awapuni, was united to Captain Maurice William Buckley, N.Z.R.A.F., son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Buckley, Fairley, Canterbury. The Rev. Canon Fancourt performed the ceremony. Captain and Mrs. Buckley plan to leave by ’plane on (their wedding trip as soon as Aveather conditions are suitable. Their future home will be in Christchurch.
A quiet Avedding of local interest was celebrated at the local All Saints’ (Church last evening, the contracting parties being Noel, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Robinson, of Foxton, and Agnes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey, of Marotiri. Rev. W. 11. Walton officiated. The bride Avas given away by Mr. H.. Hughes. Miss R. Whitlow Avas bridesmaid and Mr. S. Austin carried out the duties of best mail. After the ceremony the wedding breakfast Avas held at Wall’s. The bride and bridegroom left later in the evening on their honeymoon, at. the conclusion of which they will take up their residence in Foxton.
