CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GREETINGS BY TELEGRAPH.
Telegrams containing the text ‘‘Wishing you a Merry 'Christmas and a Happy New Year,” will be .’accepted on the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 24th December, at a uniform fee of sixpence, provided that the address and signature together do not exceed 11 words. Any excess of that number will be charged for at the rate of -pi per word. On the 27th, 28th, ,29th, and 31st December, telegrams .containing the text- “Wishing you a ,Happy New Year,” will be accepted affthe same rate. 'Specially printed forms bearing the respective texts have been prepared for the convenience of the public and may be obtained at the local Post Office. To ensure delivery by Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, greeting messages should be lodged not later 'than the 22nd and 29th December respectively.
