CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GREETINGS.

BY CABLE OR RADIO, AT REDUCED RATES. Cable messages conveying Christmas and New Year greetings, addressed to any place in Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, United States, and a number of other countries will be accepted at special reduced rates, from the 15th December to the 2nd January inclusive. The earlier such messages are lodged the more likely they are to be delivered by Christmas Day or New Year’s Day as the case mnv be.

" The minimum charge to Australia will be. 1/6 for a message up to ten words and 2d for every word in excess of ten. The charge on i messages to Great Britain and Irei land will be 4/- for ten words and 5d for each additional word. To Canada, via Pacific, the rate will be 3i]d per word with a minimum charge of 3/3. For reduced rates on messages via Eastern to Can-, ada or other British possessions, to China and Japan, or via either route to the United States, apply at i telegraph offi;ce. ! 'The charge on messages to Chatham Island will be 3d per word, to Apia 6d per word, to Aleipata, Fagamalo, Fakaofo, Salailua, and Qifasivi 7d per word, to Rarotonga, Niue, Mukualofa and Vavau 9d per word, and to Aitutaki, Atiu, and Maugaia 10 id per word. In each case the minimum charge as for ten words will be applicable.
