PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY.

UNION OF CHURCHES AGAIN DISCUSSED. Auckland, Nov. 30. The final session of the Presbyterian General Assembly was held to-day, the business being mostly in the nature of a “washing-up” of questions left over or adjourned earlier in the proceedings. The adjourned discussion on the question of church union was continued by the Rev. R. M. Ryburn, who moved the appointment of a committee, to be called a Committee of Friendly Relations with Sister Churches, whose task would be to collect information as to what measure of co-operation between churches was already operating, and to promote closer association in whatever ways were possible. The motion was carried. It was decided that the next meeting of the Assembly be held in Dunedin, commencing on March 5, 1930.
