THE FLAXMILLS.
Seven strippers are now running at the Miranui mill during the day. On Wednesday a night shift commenced duty and two strippers are now running at night. It is possible that given a continuance of the present fine weather all the local mills will be in full swing again at an early date. The first punt-load of flax for King’s Mill arrived per River Service yesterday and one for Berry’s mill will be brought down on Monday.
