CREDO.
BY A WORKINGMAN. I believe in safety first. Get the liquor traffic off the highway of life. I believe in a better standard of living, in all the world’s good things; bnt am beginning to doubt if booze, in the end, is a good thing. I believe in being happy naturally; in having a good time “the night before,” without “the morning after.” Although I can take a drink and let it alone, I believe it would be better out of the way of those who cannot. I am beginning to believe booze is the killjoy, and as a medicine whisky or wine is a dud, for the weight of medical opinion is against alcohol taken promiscuously. I believe in giving my boys a better chance in life. lam not a wowser, nor a crank, but just a plain citizen. I believe in a fail 1 deal for women and children which “booze” never gives. I believe in commonsense, which booze never talks. “Prohib.” and “Reformers” notwithstanding, my own commonsense tells me that Uncle Sam is on a good thing. He sticks to it. I believe that the U.S.A. elections will show 'that the people are determined to maintain Prohibition, thus proving the liquor traffic propaganda to be entirely false and misleading.—Advt. CITIZEN.
