OLD TIMERS' ASSEMBLY DANCE.
Some years ago Assembly dances used to be held regularly locally but of later years, possibly with the advent of the many new steps and dances, these have given place to one annual assembly at which old time dances are a specialty. On Thursday evening the annual fixture took place in the Masonic Hall. There was a large attendance and a most enjoyable evening was spent by all present. Messrs W. E. Barber and M. E. Perreau officiated as M.’sC., and -old time dances were the order of the evening. The hall was nicely decorated and the arrangements for catering, etc., reflected great credit upon the committee responsible. Among those present were the Misses Brooke-Taylor, Davey, Sutton, Easton, (Stevenson, Patterson, Delany, Thomlpson, Haydoek, Woods, Barber, Bowe and Dunn, Mesdames W. E. Barber, M. E. Perreau, R, Bryant, S. Austin, R. McMurray, M. Seabury, M. B. Bergin, L. C. Bryant, AY. Trueman, E. Sutton, A. Stevenson, G. Alexander, R. MoMullian, J. Thomson, G. Smith, A. Ross, Brooke-Taylor, D. Barron, D. Mayer and H. Gardner.
