BIG FLOOD ANTICIPATED. If the present rain continues, added to the spring tides, present flood conditions will be accentuated and a wider area of country will be inundated than last Aveek. The folloAving reports are to hand:— Ashhurst, 1 p.m.: River in flood and rising rapidly; raining heavily. Fitzherbert Bridge, 1.15 p.m.: River 9ft. above normal. Woodville, 1.15 p.m.: River 4ft. Gin. above normal and rising; raining heavily.
