MR, LINK-LATER. AT SHANNON.
The record attendance of 360 people greeted Mr. Linklater at Shannon on Thursday evening. Mr. ThAvaites presided and in introducing the speaker said his past six years of service for the ManaAvatu electorate merited the continued support of electors at the coming poll. (Applause). Mr. Linklater’s address was listened to attentively throughout and there Avas scarcely an interjection from the large audience. At question time the candidate answered many questions to ti.e satisfaction of the inquirers and at the conclusion, Avas accorded a hearty vote of thanks on the. motion of Mr. Downes.
