MR. J. L. STOUT ON DRUNKEN DRIVERS.
“I do not know whether it is because, I have been too lenient or not, but this class of case is becoming too frequent in Palmerston North. If the increase continues at this rate, I will have to impose a term of imprisonment, in the first place, instead of a fine,” remarked Mr. J. L. Stout, S.AL, in the Palmerston North Alagistrate’s Court on Saturday morning, when fineing a motorist convicted of being found intoxicated while in charge of a ear.
