SALE OF WORK.
All Saints’ Ladies Guild held their annual sale of work in the Town Hall on Thursday afternoon and evening and although this year’s eifort was not as successful financially as last year, the takings totalled about £72. The stalls were artistically decorated and were in charge of the following:— Guild: Mesdames F. Robinson, D. Christie, Wm. Robinson, R, Owen, and Misses F. and B. Robinson; cake: Mesdames John Robinson, R. Bryant, S. Austin, W'. Trueman, and 'Miss Williams; sweets: Misses L. & N. Robinson, M. Poole and choir members; produce: Mesdames C. Robinson (2), and A. Nichols; books: Mesdames W. H. Walton, R, Easton, E. Jackson, and F. Carrnont; flowers: Mrs. G. Tyer and Miss Nye. The tea-rooms were supervised by Mesdames J. Newth, F. Williams, and C. (Spring, assisted by choir members. During the evening musical items were rendered by Miss Martin and Mr. D. Barron, and novelty dances were performed by Mrs. Goodman’s pupils. A wood-sawing competition was won by Mrs. F. Williams and Mr. C. Pritchard. A special word of praise is due to the energetic secretary, Mrs. Trueman and to all who assisted.
