THE MOTOR SPORTS.
There is on exhibition in the C. M. Ross Co’s. AvindoAV a handsome silver cup to be presented to the winner of the ManaAvatu Championship event at the Foxton Motor Sports Association’s annual sports meeting to be held on the racecourse on Labour Day. The cup is donated by the Association, and should do much to stimulate entries for this event. The. nominations, Avhich close this evening, slioav signs of being very large this year. Yesterday over 20 Avere to hand as against tAvo received up to that time last year. If the weather keeps fine Ihe meeting should be an unqualified success.
