AUCKLAND SCHOOLGIRL MISSING.

1 Auckland, Last Night. A girl aged 14 years, Rona Minnie Passmore, who lives with her parents at Grafton, has been missing from her home since Monday morning and fears are entertained for her safety. She is a pupil of the Epsom Girls’ Grammar school. She left home, presumably for school, with a small attache case, which she uses to carry her books but it is presumed she took in this five of her dresses, which are now missing. She also took her tennis racquet and shoes. She did not return on Monday evening and when her parents made inquiries, they found she had not attended school that day. None of her friends had seen her. The parents do not think their daughter is far away, for as far as they know, she had only a shilling in her possession when she left home. WANGANUI MAN MISSING SINCE MONDAY. Wlanganui, Last Night. A bootmaker, Thomas Ward, aged about 45, left his home at Gonville on Monday evening and has not been heard of since. A friend has received a note from the missing man stating that he was “going on a long journey.”
