RED REFLECTORS NOT WANTED.

BY SOUTH ISLAND MOTOR UNION. Christchurch, Sept. 28. “It is high time we objected not only to the reflector regulations, but also to civil servants being legislators,” said the chairman Mr. A. E. Ansell at the conference of the South Island Motor Union. “'lt is time we informed the Government, that we are not going to allow the country to be run by civil servants. A resolution was before the meeting that the Government be asked to cancel the, regulations referring to red reflectors on motor cars, declaring the use of these reflectors waste of money and not providing any added measure of safety for road users. Other members spoke strongly concerning the regulation. The motion was carried.
