THE HEMP MARKET.
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 29th September, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London, in regard to the hemp market: — “Manila market continues dull. “J” grade Oetober-Deeember shipment sold.down to £33. Closing value £32 10/-. Sisal market quiet. Closing values No. 1 sellers £35 10/-, No. 2 £34. New Zealand: Market quiet and barely steady. Nominal closing values OetoberDeeember shipments, high points £3l 10/-, fair £2B 15/-. '.Tow 2nd grade £2O 10/-, 3rd grade £l7 10/-.”
