PERSONAL.

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Francis, of Stratford, are at present visiting Foxton.

Miss 11. Holst, of the nursing staff of the P'ahiatua Hospital and sister of Miss A. Holst, of Foxton, is spending the week-end in Foxton.

The Rev. Daniel James Murray, aged 77, died yesterday at his residence at Mt. Rosldll, says a Press message from Auckland. He had over forty years’ active service in the New Zealand Methodist ministry, besides doing much secretarial and financial work for that Church. From 1897 to 1901 lie was secretary of the Conference, and President in 1902. Mr. E. Healey, of Sydney, passed through Foxton en route to Wanganui and Auckland at midday. Mr. Healey arrived in Wellington ten days ago and will leave again for Sydney about the middle of October. Mrs. Healey’s friends will regret to learn that she has recently suffered an indisposition and will necessitate treatment by a specialist. Miss T. Phillips, of Wanganui, is spending a holiday with Mrs. Healey in Sydney.
