Wanganui hinterland is not alone concerning the wild pig menace. Quite recently, two expert pig hunters put in a fortnight’s engagement on Begg’s station, at the head of Wyndham Valley, dealing with the porcine pest, states the Farmer. They relied not upon rifles, but on two pairs of trusty dogs and a couple of knives. Over 200 pigs were accounted for. A real good riddance.
