SHIPPING.

Both the s.s. Kennedy and scow Portland arrived in port on the morning tide yesterday. The Kennedy brought in 185 tons of coal from Westport, to be divided up as follows: — Manawatu County Council 49 tons 7 cwt., Palmerston N. Borough Council 47 tons 18 cwt., Foxton Borough Council 38 tons 16 cwt., the balance going into the local bunkers. The Kennedy loaded cattle this morning for Lyttelton and sailed at 9.30 The scow arrived, from Wellington under the charge of Captain Stewart, formerly of the s.s. Kennedy.
