NOXIOUS WEEDS.
INSPECTION TO BE MADE OF BOROUGH. Cr. Lucinsky referred to the borough as a Avilderness of noxious weeds at Monday night’s Borough Council meeting. Properties that could easily have been cleaned of noxious growth during the recent unemployment Avere in a shocking state, and it Avas time the Council did something to clean the Borough up. Cr. CoAvley asked Avho Avas responsible for the inspection of the borough in this connection. The Mayor stated that it was the Council’s business to see that an inspection Avas made, but that the inspector (AH. NeA 7 ille) Avas a Government appointee. Cr. Cowley suggested that Mr. Neville be requested to inspect the boiough, and issue notices where necessary. Cr. Rand said the footpath on the Avest side of Main Street at the south end of the town was grown half over with lupins. It was decided to instruct the inspector to make an inspection of the borough and issue notices to all offenders.
