PERSONAL.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Alsop, of Foxton, have recently completed a tour of Scotland and England apd leave England for Australia this month. Mrs. and Miss O’Dowd, of Taradale, Hawke’s Bay, are at present spending a few days’ holiday in Foxton. 'They are the guests of Mrs. A. E. Scott, of Whittaker Street.
The death took place at Auckland recently of Mrs. Huntly Elliott, mother of Mr. Gordon Elliott, M.P. for Oroua, aged 80 years. Deceased was an old resident of Wel- . lington where the interment took place. The death took place at Randwick, Sydney, recently of Mr. Robert Edwin Bannister, aged 73 years. Deceased was for many years connected wish the Wellington Evening Post and New Zealand Times. The death took place at a Palmerston private .hospital on Sunday of Miss Margaret Thompson, only sister of Mrs. M. Hitchcock, of Levin, aged 72 years. The late Miss Thompson resided for a time in Foxton.
