NOT TRUE TO LABEL.

HOTEL LICENSEE FINED. Auckland, August 31. Alex Burr, the licensee of the Huapai Hotel, was fined the minimum of £2O on each of four charges of selling liquor not true to label. On four similar charges John G. McGregor pleaded not guilty. The defence was a denial of adulteration. There had been trouble with an employee, since dismissed. When he heard that samples had been taken, McGregor went to the Health Department and stated that there had been a “frame up.” Decision was reserved.
