RACING.
THE C.J.C. MEETING. Fifty-one horses earned money at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting. The list was headed by Wiltshire, -£ll7O, and Nukumai, £lOls, after whom there was a drop to Craigmore, £585, Tuki, £560, and Bisox, £525. - The following were the principal winning owners at the meeting: Messrs T.. Wilson, £1170; J. M. Samson, £1045; S. G. Davidson, £1015; L. C. Hazlett, £585; R. Hicks, £525; F. R. Waller, £400; H. D. Mathews, £320; W. J. Craig, £290; W. H. Gaisford, £280; C. F. Yallance, £270; F. Ehrhorn, £260; C. T. Keeble, £255; and W 7 *. 11. Ballinger, £250. Riding honours were widely distributed. W. J. Bowden, R. Reed, J. Kerr and S. Henderson were successful twice, while the jockeys who rede one winner were E. Shaw, J. Procter, L. A. Pine, R. C. Byrne, E. Mackie, A. McCormae, A. E. Ellis, D. O’Connor, J. W. Jennings, L. G. Morris, R. J. Mackie, R. McTavish, C. Dawson, L. Hunt, B. 11. Morris, and P. Powell. F. Trilford and A. Trilford were the most successful trainers with four winners, Jovial, Tuki, Town Bank, and Royal Fashion. A. M. Wright (Nukumai twice), and J. Cassells( Craigmore twice) were next with two wins each. The following trainers each led in a winner: R. Ellis (Diana’s Lad), F. Ehrhorn (Nucleus), G. J. Pine (Noteworthy), R. Syme (Wiltshire), J. Brown (Bisox), G. New (Pangolin), P. T. Hogan (Captain Sarto), A. Griffon (Smithereens), G. Jines (Chelone), E. Penman (Marjoram), S. G. Ware (Narrative), R. C. Keeper (Carinthia), F. R. Waller (Rangi Sarto), A. Goodman (Black Mint), S. J. Reid (Historic), G. A. Feilding (Royal Saxon).
