THEFTS FROM CARS.
ACCUSED GETS GAOL. Wellington, August 29. William Henry Gardner, a man with a long list, was to-day sent to gaol for 12 months by Mr. Page, S.M., for thefts, from parked cars. Articles of various kinds. to the value of £42 2/6, were found by the police in the room Gardner had been permitted to sleep in by the proprietor of a private hotel.
