MR. COATES AND MR. FORBES.
The close resemblance of some of the statements of the leader of the Nationalists Party, Mr. G. VY. Forbes, to those previously voiced by the Prime Minister was humorously referred to by Mr. Coates in the House of Representatives on Wednesday. “I ffnd the Labour Party and the leader of the Nationalist Party saying Ave Avant less government in business and more business in Government,” said Mr. Coates. Mr. Forbes: Yes, that is so. The Prime Minister: The hon. gentleman pays me a handsome compliment because the phrase is of my oavu manufacture. He uses it on every possible occasion. I notice a lot more of his statements resemble mine, so closely that I honestly believe —but I will allow members to finish the sentence themselves. (Laughter).
