PRESENT CHAMPIONS. At the annual meeting of the New’ Zealand Auto-Cycle Union the following, as winners of the New Zealand championships for the 1927-28 season, were announced: — Light-weight championship, 8 miles and 328 yards (Wanganui), G. W. Dixon, 2'i A.J.S. Time, Bmin. 4 1-5 sec.. Middle-weight championship, 1(1 miles (Foxton), D. Managh, 3$ Norton. Time Drain. 31 2-ssec. Heavy-weight championship, 12 miles (Gisborne), P. Coleman, 7 Harley-i Davidson. Time lOmin. 28 sec. Records certificates were allotted as follows: —P. Coleman broke the world’s record for a flying mile at Takapuna racecourse on March 3, 1928, on a 7 Harley-Davidson in 46 4-5 sec. C. D. Walker broke the world’s record for a flying mile at Takapuna racecourse on March 3, 1928, on a 23 Rex Acme in 50 4-5 sec. . -
