BOWLING CLUB BALL.

The Foxton Bowling and Croquet Club ball was held in the Town Hall last Thursday evening and proved a success both socially and financially, despite other counter attractions. Messrs M. E. Perreau and R. Bryant officiated as M.C’s. The hall was tastefully decorated in the Club’s colours and the supper arrangements were carried out by the ladies’ committee. Excellent music was provided by Mr. J. Newton’s orchestra and extrris were played by Miss Roore and Mr. L. Mattar. Among those present were: — Mrs. Stan Austin, rose georgette embroidered; Mrs. R. Bryant, black taffeta and lace; Mrs. Parkes, azure satin; Mrs. Trueman, salmon georgette beaded; Mrs. Heyes, navy blue satin; Mrs. Christie, black crepe-de-chene; Mrs. Woods, blue georgette over emerald green; Mrs. P. Easton, pale green georgette; Mrs. Owen, black georgette over green; Miss Moore, apricot taffeta trimmed green georgette; Mrs* Coughtry, black georgette; Mrs. Staff, grey frock; Mrs. Mattar, pink crepe-de-chene and gold lace; Miss Delany, mauve taffeta; Mrs. S. C. Bryant, pink beaded georgette; Mrs. (Dr.) Whllie, black taffeta; Miss Stevenson, blue velvet; Miss Lorna Robinson, scarlet; Miss Griffin, pink velvet; Miss N. Spring, scarlet georgette; Miss, Haydock, pink georgette beaded; Mrs. Bergin, blue taffeta; Miss L. Thompson, pink georgette and silver sequins; Miss T. Better, pink georgette, Miss R. Warwick, pink georgette; Miss H. Owen, pink net and crepe-de-chene; Miss Noeline Pritchard, rose georgette; Miss Floss Walls, pink taffeta; Mrs. Goodman, black figured georgette; Mss Ross, cerise taffeta; Miss M. Baker, black georgette; Miss K. Roore, peach georgette; Mrs. Alexander, pink crepe-de-chene; Miss Bree, green crepe-de-chine; Mrs. Baker, green satin inoraeain; Mss R.
