JUNE WORKING
The amount of gas manufactured during the month of June was 386,100 ft., which with the amount in the holder on June Ist 15,000 ft. made a total of 401,100 ft. During the month 325,800 ft. was used by consumers, 20,000 ft at the works and there was 15,000 ft. in the holder on June 30th, making a total of 363,800 ft. accounted for and leaving 37,300 ft. representing 9.3 per cent, unaccounted for. Thirty-four tons, 15cwt. of coal were carbonised yielding 11,110 c. ft. of gas to the ton and producing 10 tons of coke.
The receipts for the month totalled £2OO 10s 9d and were made up as follows:—Gas sales (lighting) .£37 17s 2d, heat and power £ll4 6s sd, coke sales £27 10s Id, tar sales £1 18s Od, service and fittings £lB 8s Id, miscellaneous 11/-. The expenditure for the month totalled £206 6s 7d and was made up as follows: —Coal £74 8s od, salaries and wages £4l 2s Bd, solvices and fittings £l, meters £24 5s 3((, repairs 4/5, printing and advertising £1 17s 6cl, working exes. 1/6, Interest and Sinking Fund £63 7s 3d.
