BULLS BRIDGE.

PUBLIC WORKS SUBSIDY. At Thursday’s meeting of the Manawatu County Council word was received from the Public Works Department that it had decided to Offer a subsidy of £3 for £1 toward the cost of building a new bridge to replace the present structure over the Rangitikei River at Bulls. Later in the day the members of the council proceeded to the bridge where they met Cr. Simpson, chairman of the Rangitikei County Council,. and Mr. S. A. Mail', Rangitikei county engineer, and inspected the proposed site for the bridge. A conference w 7 as held afterwards when various matters were discussed, the proceedings being taken in committee.
