BOROUGH ROADS.

At last night’s Borough Council meeting Cr. Walker suggested that in the summer, as time permits, the road staff be instructed to tar seal the corners of various streets in the borough. Both corners of Duncan St., Robinson St., and Avenue and Norbiton Rd. corners were very bad at present with loose metal. The Mayor said that the Council would have to be careful over expenditure of money on reading works. A promise had been made to tar seal Avenue Rd. as soon as possible. Cr. Cowley pointed out the bad state of the road from Victoria St. to the railway crossing. It was decided that during the summer months as many street corners as possible be asphalted as time and finance will permit.
